Facilities
In the historic art deco style Wiltern Building, the school is located in the entertainment capitol of the world - Los Angeles, California. Our ultra-modern, fully air conditioned classrooms and laboratories are spacious, custom lighted and mirrored environments specially designed to enable students to work at maximum efficiency.


Faculty
Faculty members are selected according to their individual talents and background within specific areas of make-up artistry and are experienced teachers skilled at stimulating and developing professionalism in our students. Instructors possess certivicates of authorization from the State of California. Guest lectures are famous make-up artists and industry leaders who have reached the highest level of distinction in their field.

The field of make-up is one of diversity and full of exciting opportunities in the entertainment, fashion, advertising, merchandising and beauty industries. Make-up artists work as skilled illusionists, magicians that can create the exotic from the ordinary and transform exquisite beauty into a monstrosity upon request. From making people look their absolute best to crafting fantastic fantasy creatures, make-up 'magic' is an integral part of creating the wide range of characters we see in film, television and theater productions. Students are presented the sills and insight needed to pursue employment in the workplace. The training gained at Cinema Make-Up School will prepare students to take the union test once working and having met other union conditions regarding requirement of days.

Photo & Video Portfolio
Cinema Make-Up School offers exclusive videotape and still photograph portfolios for students to use directly their careers as make- up artists. All photo shoots take place in Cinema Make-Up School's very own photographic studio and on location with a professional photographer supplied by the school.

Course / Curriculum
Our courses are designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge and confidence to succeed as professional make-up artists. All Cinema Make-Up School's courses stress the 'hands on' approach to learning. Emphasis is placed on observation of demonstrations and application of techniques in practical workshop sessions. Students are trained in specialist areas such as television. motion picture, theater, fashion photography, special effects, lab techniques and fabrication of prosthetics. Individuality and creating an original personal style are actively encouraged. Through use of Cinema Make-Up School curriculum, our faculty achieves a high degree of competency.

Entrance Requirements and Enrollment Procedures

Cinema Make-Up School's Make-Up Artistry Courses do not require previous experience. A background in cosmetology, art, theater and related fields are helpful but not essential. U.S. Resident Students: To enroll prospective students must submit the completed application form along with a $100.00 non-refundable registration fee. It is recommended that U.S. students complete the enrollment process at least two (2) weeks prior to commencement of the desired course's start date.
