Ve Neill Open House
CMS hosted its annual Holiday Open House on Sunday, December 11th and it was a huge success! Three-time Academy Award Winner Ve Neill came out to the event to demonstrate a multi-piece silicone gel-filled prosthetic application designed and created by CMS graduates Ian Lome, Miranda Jory and Miyo Nakamura, with guidance by Director of Admissions Lee Joyner, along with assistance from current CMS students. She was assisted in the demo by Miranda and Miyo in front of a crowd of over 100 people! The event was MC’d by Leonard Engelman, the Governor of the Makeup Branch of the Board of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Ve and Leonard stayed after the demo was complete to share some of their wisdom with current students and join in the festivities, which included delicious food, an art exhibition in the CMS museum, a ventriloquist, and a performance by a group of street bucket drummers. CMS was honored to have both Ve and Leonard at our school again and we look forward to having them back for more events!

First we had instructor Mirelle Bertrand do a wedding makeup demo. Next, graduate Lacie Guzman showed how to take a regular day makeup and turn it into a glamorous evening look.
