Seminars

Master sculptor, creature suit designer, special makeup effects artist and director Steve Wang joined us at the school for a presentation on his work. Steve showed a slideshow of his work on movies including “Hellboy”, “Monster Squad” and “Predator” and brought examples of his creature suits, sculptures and animatronics as well giving an extensive lecture on the creative and technical processes involved in creating a creature suit. The seminar, which was packed with industry professionals and budding makeup artists alike, was enjoyed by all; we can’t wait for the next one!

Academy Award and six-time Emmy winning makeup artist Kevin Haney demonstrated special makeup effect techniques during an invitation only seminar at CMS. Mr. Haney’s credits include “Driving Miss Daisy”, “Addams Family Values”, “Death Becomes Her” and “The Shawshank Redemption”.

Graduate/Student Work

Congratulations to Master graduate Katie Machaiek who was selected to compete in the Toronto IMATS Character Competition. Katie recently created an alien prosthetic for a web series called "Zimm" as well as a commissioned piece of Lord Voldemort for a Comic-Con attendee.
