U.S. Applicants

Potential applicants are encouraged to visit CMS in order to meet with one of our admissions representatives. The representative will give you a tour of the campus, provide detailed information about the institution’s programs and policies, discuss the applicant’s qualifications, and assist you in determining the best way to meet your career objectives. The applicant will also meet with a Financial Services representative to discuss tuition and possible financing. If you cannot visit CMS in person, you can also take a virtual tour of the campus via Skype or call the school for more information.

All applicants to CMS must fill out an enrollment application and submit a $100 non-refundable registration fee. Once you have been accepted, you be contacted by CMS to arrange a start date, tuition payment and the purchase of materials, if desired.

CMS is a postsecondary education institution. Admission to CMS requires a high school diploma or General Education Development Test (GED). Additional transcripts may be requested in some cases.

CMS diploma programs do not require previous experience, however some specific classes may have prerequisites. Students interested in taking individual classes should check with CMS regarding the requirements prior to filling out an enrollment application. A background in cosmetology, art, theater and related fields is helpful but not essential. We recommend that U.S. students complete the enrollment process as soon as possible, as some classes may fill up quickly.

CMS does not accept the transfer of credits earned at other institutions or through achievement tests. CMS does not participate in articulation or transfer agreements with any other colleges or universities and does not accept ability-to-benefit students. CMS does not award credit for prior experiential learning.

The transferability of credits you earn at CMS is at the complete discretion of an institution to which you may seek to transfer. Acceptance of the diploma or certificate you earn at CMS is also at the complete discretion of the institution to which you may seek to transfer. If the credits that you earn at CMS are not accepted at the institution to which you seek to transfer, you may be required to repeat some or all of your coursework at that institution. For this reason, you should make certain that your attendance at CMS will meet your educational goals. This may include contacting an institution to which you may seek to transfer after attending CMS to detertmine if your credits will transfer.
