Leonard Engelman has developed an extensive and profound makeup artist career working on films like Batman Forever (1995) and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), and with Hollywood stars such as Cher. The Leonard Engelman Fellowship allows select Cinema Makeup School students to work directly with Leonard in an intimate studio environment. The makeup students who attend Fellowship workshops benefit from Leonard’s vast makeup industry knowledge and unparalleled makeup artistry.

Leonard Engelman is Director of Education Emeritus of Cinema Makeup School and on the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Makeup Artists and Hairstylists Branch. He has been working professionally as a makeup artist for over fifty years and his feature credits include such classics as Alfred Hitchcock’s Topaz, Ivan Reitman’s Ghostbusters, Rambo starring Sylvester Stallone, Sleepless in Seattle starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan and Moonstruck and Burlesque both starring Cher.
