Wayne Anderson

Wayne Anderson was born January 5th, 1985 in Naples, Florida. Halloween has always been a big part of his life growing up. It all started at the age of 9 when his father would build a haunted house at their home every year for Halloween back in the 90’s. Eventually, Wayne started sculpting and painting his own creatures and creations that he would compete with in Halloween costume contests. After a few years of making big creature suits, Wayne wanted to pursue makeup effects as a career, being from a small town there was very little opportunity. Until, he won The Dick Smith Legends of Makeup scholarship that would send him to Los Angeles to attend Cinema Makeup School in 2011.

Since moving to Los Angeles, Wayne has been a prolific sculptor and painter in the industry working for FX studios like Spectral Motion, Legacy Effects, ADI, VVDFX and The Character Shop. Wayne has worked all over the world and also enjoys teaching the craft of makeup and sculpting. His work includes sculpting the Fugitive Predator for “The Predator” also sculpting for “IT”, Stranger Things, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Bright and The Tomorrow War. When Wayne isn’t working at the studios, he enjoys creating his own personal work, fishing, playing basketball, working out, snowboarding, and exploring nature where he finds all his inspiration.

Tracy Raffelson

Makeup Artist, Tracy Raffelson, is not only known for her comic relief, but her beautiful artistry skills. Her 18+ year career has led her to places from LA and NYC, to the White House. Tracy works as a personal Makeup Artist and Groomer for Taye Diggs and Joel Kim Booster, as well as an on set artist for films including: If Beal Street Could Talk, Oceans  8, Set It Up, and Not Okay.

Tracy has a large range of talent experience from her work on Television including: Hunters (Amazon) Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Orange is the New Black( Netflix),  Inside Amy Schumer Show, Damn that Michael Che (HBOmax), Instinct (CBS), and Gotham (Fox).

Her motion work expands to music videos for artists including: JAYZ, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Maluma, Miguel, Leon Bridges, The Gaslight Anthem, the Bouncing Souls, Cursive, and Lorde

Tracy currently works between Los Angeles and New York City.

Nelly Recchia

Born and raised in France, Nelly Recchia is the unique and ethereal Body Art Evolutionist that is all about emotion and putting quality before quantity. Multi award winner in International Makeup and Body Art competitions, she humbly aims to “ be perceived as someone who is contributing to Body Art’s Evolution ”. Recchia lends her fine talent and skills to the renowned Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles, where she now resides collaborating on all visual art forms including: music videos, editorials, commercials and fine art photography. Some of her clients include: Taylor Swift, Ozuna, Twenty One Pilots, Jason Derulo, Beck, Usher, Katy Perry, Dita Von Teese, Static X, Marilyn Manson, Vogue, and Wired Magazine to name a few.

Mike Spatola

Mike Spatola is a makeup and FX artist with over 40 years of experience. Some of his work includes Terminator 2, Iron Man 3, and HBO’s Tales From The Crypt. He’s the author of the celebrated Monstrous Makeup Manual series of instructional books, as well as the textbooks for Cinema Makeup School, where Mike served as Chief Academic Officer for many years. He’s a a 2-time EMMY Award nominee for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Makeup, as well as multiple nominee for Best Makeup at the Cable ACE Awards.

Liz Rhodes

Based in Los Angeles, Liz Rhodes is a creative multi-tasker:  Editor, Creative Director, Writer, DJ and Makeup Artist. As a writer, she primarily focuses on artists and alternative culture. Liz currently serves as Associate Editor for Auxiliary Magazine and Editor of the Lethal Amounts online magazine. A self-taught makeup artist with an education in fine arts (painting, printmaking) Liz has worked in the beauty industry since 2013 and continues to take on projects as Creative Director to produce beauty and fashion editorials as well as portraits of creatives. Her current focus as a Makeup Artist is on commercial advertising for video and still photography in digital and print media. Liz also DJs under the moniker Nuit Noir and plays all manner of dark music, from fuzzed out garage to rock ‘n’ roll, punk, new wave, post-punk and anything in between that suits her predilection for dark and resonant music. Liz’s creativity is strongly linked to music, fashion, design, and the beauty found everywhere from the mundane to the macabre.

KC Mussman

KC is an experienced SFX Makeup Artist, trained and improved by the Stellar Cinema Makeup School in L.A. She is now the founder of Nocturnal Designz created in 2013, with her passion and drive to create a place for herself as well as upcoming artists has built itself into an artistic community, of support and growth- taking the makeup industry by storm.

John Mahoney

John Mahoney worked as a visual development artist for Disney Feature Animation on films including Atlantis, Treasure Planet and The Emperor’s New Groove. During his time at Disney, he contributed to a total of 10 feature films. He has also worked for Lucasfilm, Miramax, and Heavy Metal Magazine. Since then, he has pursued his passion as an independent filmmaker.

John is currently producing his own Sci-Fi feature film Xentropa, which is in pre-production at the moment. He has also taught such diverse classes as figure drawing, sculpture, film design, storyboards, stop motion animation, and character design in the United States as well as in Singapore and Taiwan. John also did toy sculpting for Jurassic World, Avengers, Frozen, and the new Ghostbusters for Hasbro.

John Mahoney is a graduate of Pratt Institute with a BFA in Illustration. He works in Los Angeles recently doing animation for Netflix while teaching at USC.

Jason Adcock

Jason Adcock, Los Angeles transplant, is a FX and Beauty Artist who specializes in latex masks, wigs and theatrical makeup. Clientele includes drag race alumni, nightlife icons, musicians, theme parks and print.

Jarrett Fajardo

JARETT FAJARDO has over 15 years experience in the entertainment arts industry. He is a graduate of Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a major in Illustration and conceptual design for film and television. Under the tutelage of Pixar Art Director and Instructor Anthony Christov, He garnered skills in pre-production art and storytelling. His work encompasses a wide array of artistic mediums to help create characters and visualize worlds that adapt to the needs of complex stories. He is noted as a story artist, art director, graphic artist, makeup/fx artist, costume designer, children’s book and a comic book illustrator. Along with his vast body of work with studios, networks, and industry clientele, he is best recognized for his images of creating other worldly creatures adapted for screen. Fajardo’s years of experience has inspired him to educate and guide the next generation of future artists at both the Academy of Art University and Cinema Makeup School. Between working on set and education he spends his time doing what he loves most, making art.

Jake Corrick

Jake Corrick is a professional sculptor, mold maker, fabricator, and painter, working for the last ten years in the film, tv, and live entertainment industries. After studying sculpture at Seton Hill University, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts, he went straight into the entertainment industry. Working on projects with clients such as Disney, Riot Games, Zac Brown Band, and Travis Scott, Jake gained experience building and designing props, sculptures, and puppets of various scales and complexities. In addition to a background in practical effects, he has also worked extensively in the animation industry, building puppets and sets for stop-motion shows like Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., Crossing Swords, and Robot Chicken. With a passion for creature and character design, Jake uses realistic sensibilities to bring even the most outlandish concepts to life.

Heather Pepe

Heather Pepe has over 15 years experience as a makeup artist and beauty educator. Starting her career off by assisting some of the top makeup artists in Tv & Film, she quickly realized her passion was for Beauty & Fashion Makeup. This lead Heather to broadening her clientele and gaining experience working on fashion shows, editorials and campaigns such as Burberry, Allure, & W Magazine assisting some of the top makeup artists in the Fashion & Beauty Industry. Heathers career has brought her to working on some of the industries most elite clientele and celebrities for red carpet events, music videos, commercials and weddings as well as working with luxury cosmetic companies such as Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury and Youngblood, where Heather was a Senior Artist and Educator for over 7 years. Heathers career is vast and has allowed her to travel the world sharing her artistry and expertise which has lead her to her latest venture “Beauty Before”, an online platform dedicated to sharing the most iconic and obscure Beauty References in Pop Culture and the History of Makeup & Makeup Artistry.

Danielle Baum

Born and raised in New York, Danielle Baum knew at a very young age she wanted to pursue a career in makeup artistry. Being the free spirt and creative person she is, she has said many times that she cannot imagine doing anything else in her life. After relocating to Los Angeles, Danielle attended Cinema Makeup School where she sharpened her skills in beauty and special effects makeup artistry. Danielle has a reputation for being professional and personable. She grew her clientele on referrals, which speaks to her abilities and hard work ethic. Danielle has worked in all aspects of the beauty industry from red carpet and fashion to campaigns and music videos.  She has worked with celebrities such as Jason Derulo, designers such as Christian Siriano, and commercial clients such as Reebok. Danielle currently resides in Los Angeles, California and travels globally for work.

Andy Schoneberg

Chief Academic Officer at Cinema Makeup School

Two-time Emmy Award winner and 4-time nominee for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for The Walking Dead, Andy Schoneberg has over 35 years of experience in the motion picture and television industry.

A native of Billings, Montana, Andy studied Education with a focus on Fine Arts. He was a small business owner offering services in graphic design, portraits, and character design & fabrication. His involvement in community theatre provided a backdrop for practicing his
passion for theatrical makeup.

Andy earned the “Exceptional Caliber” certification from Dick Smith’s makeup course, coinciding with the move to Los Angeles to pursue his professional career in Hollywood. His diverse skills and positive attitude led to working for all the major iconic creature shops — including Rick Baker’s Cinovation, Stan Winston Studio, Amalgamated Dynamics and KNB EFX. He has contributed as a makeup artist, sculptor, painter, department head and puppeteer to over 100 films and television shows.

A member of IATSE 706 Makeup & Hair and SAG unions, Schoneberg has worked with top directors on major films, not limited to Tim Burton, Quentin Tarantino, James Cameron, Joe Johnston, Frank Durabont, and Steven Spielberg.

Schoneberg is the personal makeup artist to comedian Dana Gould for the current smash hit Hanging with Dr.Z. In his spare time, Andy has painted a recreation of the Mona Lisa, still drawing inspiration from the fine art masters that inspired him as a child. Andy’s involvement as an instructor at CMS is the realization of a lifetime. With patience and encouragement, he advances the development of the next generation of Hollywood makeup artists.
