Total pricing varies depending on the direct instruction, technical lab fees, and material kits required for each professional workshop course:
Most one-week workshop courses are open to all skill levels, from beginners to working industry professionals. However, advanced computer-based courses (such as ZBrush or Digital FX) recommend basic familiarity with standard digital design tools or general drawing principles to help you get the most out of the curriculum.
Because our hands-on makeup training relies on personalized, one-on-one guidance from active film and beauty professionals, enrollment caps fill up rapidly. Prospective students should complete registration 4 to 6 weeks early to secure a spot and receive all necessary onboarding details before day one.
No, taking the Airbrush makeup course alone will not teach you full SFX makeup, though it covers a vital finishing technique used within special effects.
Airbrushing is primarily a tool-based application method used for smooth beauty makeup, high-fashion body painting, precision shading, and applying seamless paint layers over pre-made prosthetic appliances. It does not cover foundational 3D special effects processes such as sculpting, life-casting, mold-making, or working with structural materials like silicone, gelatin, and foam latex.
If your goal is to master full character transformations from scratch, you will need to take the Special Effects Makeup or Prosthetic Makeup courses alongside Airbrushing.
Specialized workshop courses at Cinema Makeup School, such as Airbrush, ZBrush, Creature Maquette Sculpting, Concept & Color, Digital FX, and Photographic Hairstyling, are intensive 1-week programs.
